But it felt unfair to judge them right away so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I asked one of the sellers.
I prefer to apply my foundations with a beauty blender, however I've found that a flat topped kabuki brush works well with SFF too. I don't notice a huge difference in coverage between the two methods, however it's so much easier to get a nice, even finish with a beauty blender. In the before and after below, I've used a damp beauty blender to apply, then set using the e.l.f HD Setting Powder. With this foundation, I always use a primer such as the Garnier Miracle Blur to help with the pores on and around my nose. When I wear this to work, I usually use the using the e.l.f.
F&B and StudioTech(full, but not hardcore pancake full coverage) are probably my favorite (and only) MAC foundations I use; not a fan of the rest of the lineup sadly so I turn to other brands for more “medium” coverage, or even a BB cream. Haha I am not the only Neutral person alive!
Ok So here is the think with MAC that I discovered most all of the liquid foundations are either NW or NC which is true, but they do have a powder foundation that come in N (applause ladies and gentleman that is N for Neutral)!
• It should have a wide range of shades to choose from. Our Top Pick would be Maybelline’s Fit Me Matte + Poreless Concealer. It is extremely blendable, long lasting, and gives great coverage. In fact, it covers up flaws so well that you may even want to give your concealer a miss. It has a completely matte effect (without being drying), which means that you don’t have to worry about that ugly oily shine. You wouldn’t want to try any other foundation again.
As promised, this Sunday my chosen foundation for review is going to be MAC Studio Fix Fluid foundation. First of all let’s start a little bit of a story. I think only 2 years ago MAC store finally cam to Latvia. I was very excited about that, cause there were some products that I wanted to try out and I finally got a chance. As it was winter time back then, I had to get a foundation that matched my skintone (cause that is actually pretty hard here in Latvia, cause the lightest shades are always still too dark and too pink). At first I couldn’t decide which one would be the most suitable for me (I have combination skin type, so I always strive for matte finish).
I would recommend it to dry skin girls if they exfoliate and use a good water based moisturizer before. I have this foundation in the shade N4. The reason I enjoy MAC Foundations is because of their amazing shade variety for very light and dark shades. This foundation is very high coverage, depending on how you apply it; when used with a beauty blender you can sheer it out and when used with a brush it is very high coverage. It applies very smoothly and is neither matte nor glowy. I highly enjoy this as I have normal skin and can mix it with oil or liquid highlighter if I want a more dewy look or can powder it if I want a matte look all day (however, then I find it a little drying for my skin). When I first used it on a client,I have to admit I didn't like it.
MAC's Studio Fix Fluid SPF15 Foundation is a modern foundation that combines a natural matte finish and medium to full buildable coverage with broad spectrum UVA/UVB SPF 15/PA++ protection. Applies, builds and blends easily and evenly. Comfortable and long-wearing, it helps minimize the appearance of pores and imperfections, giving skin a smoother, more flawless look and finish.
